PROJECT / PROGRAMS

Our Target: all and sundry. CAFAF provides the unique blend of professionals and dedicated volunteers to take advantage of the immense exposure at its disposal in order to achieve the desired impact.

Structure: The organizations consist of volunteers and members. Volunteers are members who volunteer their time and expertise for the promotion and achievements of CAFAF objectives.

Our work: conduct of educational awareness on health, counseling, ecumenical HIV/AIDS, Peer education, general consultancy, mediation, referrals, partnership for development, young people and women support, minor ailment treatment, training, advocacy, women empowerment etc

ACTIVITY/ METHODOLOGY

Outreach programmes for: women, men, young people, parents, service providers, teachers, youth groups, vulnerable in society, institutions, religions, policy makers, traditional, community leaders etc.

CAFAF since its inception had played unceasing leading role in enhancing the sexual reproductive health needs of people through a Life Care Center project (LCC PROJECT) instituted. The project provides a comprehensive Reproductive Health Services and information to the people in the Malata community in the Greater Accra Region, most especially the vulnerable in society. It is a one-stop model facility that plays a very crucial role in bringing health delivery services to the less privilege in society. Some services it renders are as follows:

· Minor ailment treatment
· HIV/AIDS ecumenical work (counseling and advocacy)
· Counseling and referral to major health facility
· Free circumcision to children whose parent can’t afford
· Pregnancy test
· Free distribution of family planning contraceptives
· Ecumenical family planning service
· Child development assessment
· Conduct of community health outreach programmes
· Voluntary testing and counseling(VCT)
· Subsidized manor ailment treatment etc

It also assist in the sensitization of the district assemble, organizations and community members at large to solicit their commitment to ensure the sustainability of the project. Indeed the project seeks to consolidate and bring to the doorpost of all and sundry effective and efficient health awareness, education, treatment, counseling, general consultation and the like, hence the life care center project. Health is wealth and the time is now.

People are dying out of ignorance and suffering from ailments most of which the causes are treatable yet some cannot afford the cost involved thus remained silent till they are faded out by the unexpected. The center is an instrument for women, men and young people to better appreciate understand and respond positively towards their reproductive health needs based on informed choice and again for advancing a collective reproductive health service.
